# Attestation Log

> View every asset scan your team has recorded, with optional asset tag photos

The Attestation Log shows every individual scan event recorded by your field techs — one row per barcode scan, in reverse chronological order. If your company has Photo Attestation enabled, each row includes a thumbnail of the physical asset tag captured at the moment of the scan.

## Accessing the log

From the dashboard navigation, click **Attestation Log**. The page loads the 200 most recent attestation events across all techs in your company.

## Reading the log

| Column        | What it shows                                                   |
| ------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Asset tag** | The barcode value scanned by the tech                           |
| **Result**    | The outcome of the scan (see below)                             |
| **Location**  | The room, floor, and building the tech was in when they scanned |
| **When**      | Date and time of the scan                                       |
| **Photo**     | Thumbnail of the asset tag, if Photo Attestation is enabled     |

### Result types

| Result                   | Meaning                                                                                     |
| ------------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Match**                | Asset was found in its recorded location — clean confirmation                               |
| **Mismatch — moved**     | Asset was in a different room; tech confirmed the move and updated the location             |
| **Mismatch — dismissed** | Asset was in a different room; tech dismissed the alert without updating the location       |
| **New asset**            | Barcode was not in the registry; Forager created a new asset record at the current location |

## Photo thumbnails

When Photo Attestation is enabled for your company, each camera-mode scan captures a tight crop of the physical asset tag at the moment the barcode is detected. The crop appears as a 48×48 thumbnail in the Photo column.

Click any thumbnail to expand it to full size. Click outside the expanded image or press the close button to dismiss it.

Rows that show **—** in the Photo column were either scanned in hardware trigger mode (no camera frame available) or recorded before Photo Attestation was enabled.

  Photo Attestation is opt-in. If you are not seeing thumbnails, check with your Harbingers account manager to enable it for your company.

## What the log is for

The Attestation Log is an **event log**, not an asset status view. Each row is a single scan event — the same asset may appear many times across different sessions.

For asset-level compliance status (last confirmed date, coverage percentage, overdue count), use the [Reports](/dashboard/reports) page instead.
